It aims to provide high quality and up-to-date information by allowing contributors to edit and improve each other’s material and incorporates material from professional journals, textbooks and websites run by government organisations. A mobile version of the site is available. Contributors to Mental Health Wiki include health professionals, academic researchers, consumer carers or advocates and health service administrators. Mental Health Wiki is run by a team of researchers at the University of Melbourne in Australia. This team is headed by Professor Tony Jorm whose research focuses on public knowledge and beliefs about mental disorders. The platform on which Mental Health Wiki is based is known as dekiwiki.
