Mental Health Wiki is a guide to mental health problems. It aims to provide high quality and up-to-date information by allowing contributors to edit and improve each other’s material and incorporates material from professional journals, textbooks and websites run by government organisations. A mobile version of the site is available.

Contributors to Mental Health Wiki include health professionals, academic researchers, consumer carers or advocates and health service administrators. Register here as a contributor to Mental Health Wiki. Please read our editorial policy before registering.

Mental Health Wiki is run by a team of researchers at the University of Melbourne in Australia. This team is headed by Professor Tony Jorm whose research focuses on public knowledge and beliefs about mental disorders.

The platform on which Mental Health Wiki is based is known as dekiwiki.  It functions in a similar way to a word-processing program and is simple to use. A guide to its use is available. Before you add a page on a new topic please check that one does not already exist. Please also read our layout and style guide before starting to write. We encourage you to have a go!
